Book 10 is still coming, promise

Hey, sorry for the silence. I’ve been dealing with same old same old back injury stuff plus some crazy family stuff that came up (that I might talk about publicly eventually but am not ready to do so yet, sorry).  That combined with me tearing apart book 10 and redrafting it cause I’m mega-paranoid about getting the grand finale of Jade’s story perfect has meant delay after delay.

But the good news is I had the final late night epiphany moment (for me, writing books is full of these moments, ha, but there is usually at least one big one each book where everything my conscious and subconscious brain has been working on comes into focus and I feel like I can finally put the words down in a way that does it justice) and I am full steam ahead on final chapters and edits.

I won’t give an exact date cause some stuff (like copy edits etc) depends on other people’s timelines etc but I think I can confidently say March.  Which I know I confidently said January and we all see how that went, oops, but life happens and I am grateful that people are understanding that authors are human.  This book will be worth the wait, in my totally biased opinion.

And again, before anyone panics that 20sided is ending, Harper’s Tale: Tribes is next on my list to finish and there will be an epilogue novella later this year that revisits Jade combined with a prologue/intro novella for Kira, Alek’s sister, who will be getting her own series in 2020. (I’ll do a separate post about those after Harper’s book comes out, complete with the amazing Gene Mollica cover art I’ve been sitting on and unable to share for nearly two years).

So thank you all for your continued understanding and patience.

Level Grind

paper-books-finally

It’s here! Release day for the new omnibus paperback and hardcover(!!!) editions of The Twenty-Sided Sorceress. Books 1-4 are collected here in Level Grind, with 5-7 to come in January in Boss Fight.

The book should be available in your local bookstore, but if you want to order online, here are some handy links:

Tribes: Harper’s Tale is coming in a couple weeks, Dungeon Crawl (book 8 of 20sided) by Christmas.  Meanwhile, enjoy the awesome paperbacks! They’ll make a nice set.

September Update

Finishing up Harper’s book, Tribes, this week. Which means given time needed for edits and formatting etc, odds are it might not come out exactly in September, sorry. Might be the first or second week of October. The print volumes for the first 4 Twenty-Sided Sorceress books are  out first week of October, so it’ll be like double bonus?  Shiny hardcover 20sided. I am going to hoard ALL the copies.

Tribes has been scary and awesome to write. It’s longer than any 20sided book so far (you peeps asked for longer books, I’m doing my best to deliver while still keeping up action and fast pace that I love so much, hehe), and maybe the nerdiest thing I’ve written, which you know is saying a lot.  I’ve only done a little cosplay, so I had to do tons of research for various characters in this. I did almost lose part of a finger (3 stitches!) to making a bunny fur bikini once, but I’m not great at sewing or crafts unless you count painting D&D minis (and I’m only decent-ish at that). Anyway, enough rambling about a book you can’t read for at least 2 more weeks, sorry!

Brood Mother, the last Gryphonpike Chronicles novella (there will be 4 novels, it isn’t the end of GPC just end of novella length GPC) is basically done but again needs edits etc and I set it aside to work on Tribes.

Dungeon Crawl, Book 8 of 20sided, will be out by Christmas/Holidays. I’m not going to give a harder deadline than that until it is done, for obvious reasons.

Also have a couple other crazy projects in the works that I’ll be excited to announce. Tease? Why yes.

So that’s the September update.
